Juma Otoviano

Juma Otoviano is an Account Executive at Tidal Loans, where he works directly with real estate investors to structure and fund ground-up construction and other investment-property loans. Over his two years with the firm, he has helped builders and investors move projects forward — including the kind of mid-build rescue financing that keeps a stalled construction deal from falling apart.

Juma came to lending as a former student-athlete at Rice University, where he played football and earned a spot on the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll three years running. Balancing a Division I athletic schedule against a demanding course load built the habits he leans on with investors every day: clear communication, tight organization, disciplined time management, and a lead-from-the-front approach to getting deals closed.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Global Affairs, and his background spans commercial, residential, and investment real estate. That range lets him look at a construction or investment file the way an investor does — not just whether it fits a program, but whether the deal actually pencils and what structure gets the borrower to the finish line.

Juma is a licensed real estate professional (Real Estate License #838237) and works alongside a team with more than 50 years of combined investor-lending experience. Tidal Loans is a direct private lender, an American Association of Private Lenders (AAPL) member, and is licensed under NMLS #1979189.
